Early in my career, I had the privilege of designing the logo for Bubba Raceway Park – a renowned dirt track racing facility situated in Ocala, Florida. Being the oldest continuously operating race track in Florida, Bubba Raceway Park has a rich legacy that needed a more aggressive logo design.

The design process started in 2010 when I was approached by the management of Bubba Raceway Park to redesign their logo. I took inspiration from the chevron with a shield of their old logo and incorporated it into the design. My main focus was to integrate the iconic Checkered (Black and White) flags of the racing industry into the logo.

To enhance the visual appeal of the logo, I added a bold red accent around the text and outside of the graphics. This not only made the design visually striking but also break up the black and white.

Overall, my aim was to create a logo that embodied the legacy of Bubba Raceway Park and the spirit of the sport of racing. The final design has become an emblematic representation of the facility and continues to be an iconic symbol for the racing community.
